WTM station #72 now online and data in all products and feeds...Persimmon Gap, Big Bend National Park. Station is located on the south side of Persimmon Gap (Santiago Mountains) at the northern entry point to Big Bend NP. The station is located west of the Persimmon Gap Visitor Center. The station will help measure gap winds into the park with cold frontal passages....and if the shallow moisture during the winter/spring months can make it into the park through the pass. Many thanks to the National Weather service folks in Lubbock, Midland and San Angelo who traveled many miles to help build this station. A special thanks to the National Park Service for allowing the station in the park. Big Bend NP....a very special place....
