A cluster of Severe Thunderstorms impacted the South Plains on the evening of September 26, 2007. Pea to marble sized hail was reported in the City of Lubbock, with a peak wind gust of 62 mph at the Reese West Texas Mesonet site located 12 miles west of downtown Lubbock at 5:40 p.m. CDT.


Potential gustnado captured just northwest of Lubbock as the leading edge of the outflow approached the city.
