
A landspout tornado formed in extreme southern Lubbock County during the late afternoon hours of July 21st, 2009. A severe storm over Lynn County interacted with an existing boundary along the Lynn/Lubbock County line. A brief landspout tornado developed 1 mile west of Slide around 4:09 pm CDT under a line of developing towering cumulus clouds near the boundary and severe thunderstorm.
